Ayse Habibe Kucuk

CERAMICIST

Ayse Habibe Kucuk

Ayse Habibe Kucuk, a sculptural ceramic artist with roots in Gaziantep, draws inspiration from her hometown's traditional forms to infuse her works with a blend of East and West. Trained at Sakarya University, Ayse’s hand-built ceramics strike a balance between authenticity and modernity, featuring minimalist pieces that contrast raw surfaces with intricate lace patterns and neutral glazes.

Each of her creations is lovingly handcrafted in her Broadway Market studio, ensuring that no two pieces are alike.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Ayse also nurtures the ceramic community through her studio/gallery, where she curates a selection of works that highlight the unique voices and visions of local ceramicists. Each piece tells a story of earth, fire, and hands in motion, bringing warmth and artistry to any space.

She is also passionate about sharing her expertise as a teacher at her Broadway Market studio, where she offers classes for all levels.

Her teaching experience includes positions in London and Croatia, at places such as Turning Earth Ceramics, Camden Art Centre, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and Villa Fiaka 5 Senses Retreat in Pag, Croatia.
