ABOUT Iona
This collection of work has predominantly been in response to my home life, I love playing around with fun colours and mixing new hues.The still life works come directly from my kitchen where I spend hours sketching. The landscapes are reminiscent of summers spent at Gillan creek and St.Antony with my family in the 70s and 80s. We would camp and while away the days canoing, sailing, fishing and crabbing. We would find beaches which you couldnt reach by land and make fires. Despite living so close, we always felt a world away. My parents kept their boat at Mylor and so we were frequent visitors to the Carrick roads and surrounding creeks.
