ABOUT jasmin
Jasmin Riva is a Mallorcan-based mixed-media artist. She has a heartfelt connection to Cornwall having studied in Falmouth in 2021.
Her work explores themes drawn from nature, botanical forms, and the expressive qualities of the human body. Posture, in particular, plays a central role in her work – regarded not only as a physical stance but as a profound vessel for emotion and unspoken narrative.
Deeply inspired by the ever-changing Mallorcan landscape – abundant with flora, fruit, and the distinct golden light of the Mediterranean – her work evokes a dreamlike state—built through layers of colour, light, and emotional nuance.
Colour, form, and composition become tools through which the complexities of feeling and natural beauty is translated.
Jasmin recently developed a new collection in ode to Cornwall during her stay at Morgan’s Studios in Falmouth.
The pieces capture the Cornwall’s wildflowers and unpredictable skies, where she finds the spirit of movement—translating it into figures that dance with the same untamed energy. Alongside these dynamic works, she also explores nostalgic still poses, capturing moments of quiet reflection and memory.
