ABOUT MATTHEW
As unreliable witness to the truth of our own experience, the way that each of us receives images is unique. My work begins in the space between a lived and recalled experience. It’s never my intention to relay a specific location, but rather, to embrace this ‘movement in memory’ and enable a retelling of my encounters with landscape and the natural world.
Matthew studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art. He currently lives and works in Cornwall. Alongside his studio practice, Matthew has lectured at Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, and Falmouth University.
